Saddleback Campground

We stayed here in Northwood for three months. The area is very quiet and for the most part our stay at Saddleback was very uneventful which is a good thing. None of the available sites had sewer hookups but they had someone come around once a week and pump out your tanks. The staff was helpful and went out of their way to accommodate our needs. You're about 30 minutes from just about anything so be prepared for a drive if you want to shop for supplies. There's a Hannaford grocery store nearby but it's not the best prices.

Small, reasonably priced campground. Great place if you are looking for quiet, peaceful nature. Bathrooms, showers and laundry are well maintained. Geared more for retired folk. No pool or playground. Water and electric sites. Dump station. Our site #8 was mostly level, pull-through with a great view of the pond with fountain. We loved our 10 day stay. Roads are a little tight, but we managed fine in our 35 ft motorhome with toad. Tabitha is very nice and helpful.

Second rate campground with an unprofessional owner. Site was too small for motorhome. Roads inside campground were tight and lined with rental trailers. Owner threatened us when we sideswiped a planting box. We should have known not to use this facility when the owner couldn't even be bothered to return booking calls. The facility was not very well maintained and absolutely not as represented. The only redeeming part of the stay was the staff. The office manager and grounds keeper were pleasant and professional. Do whatever you can to avoid this campground.

Stayed here passing through on an the East Coast trip. Campground very accommodating nice setting lake has a fountain we were on a site right on the lake. Great view. Level site which was great for us as our levelers quit working the leg before. Manager had his RV tech meet us immediately after arriving (after 5) to check on the problem. Great campground service and reasonable tech charge. Thank you! Bathroom and showers were adequate need an upgrade and could use some heat. It is close to closing as end of season so heat may not really be an option.

Chose this campground based on price and pets being allowed. Excellent decision! Owner is awesome and extremely hospitable. He worked with us on picking the site for our tents and also was flexible on our dates (weren't sure when we were leaving). All the other campers were friendly and the owner checked with us daily to make sure we were satisfied. They treated us southerners very well! If we are ever back in the area, this will be the campground for us.
