Nice RV park close to the interstate. The sites are full hookups. The park is on the water. The spaces are gravel and ours was very level. They have RV storage as well. Chris the owner and the staff were very friendly and very helpful. They went out of their way to help us get a tire changed. The park was quiet and well maintained.
Safe Harbor is an RV oasis between Atlanta and Birmingham. It's an easy on and off I-20 for an overnight stop or longer. It's built around a lake, and there are a number of lakefront RV sites. The facility is well maintained, and the owner and staff are very helpful and courteous. All of the services work well, but the water connection is below grade in a box and isn't too handy. They have usable wifi but not sure about the speed. If you plan to stay there, you will need a reservation because it appears to stay fairly full. We've overnighted there several times and plan to continue as the need arises.
Easy to book, easy to find, good hookups, friendly owners, well-kept property. Nice level enough pullthru on gravel with a view of the lake (and I-20, some traffic noise). Fishing docks and a boat ramp. Would definitely return.
Sometimes, it's just about how well the host treats his guests. Chris welcomed us and personally escorted us to our site. The stay was perfect with no issues. We heard a train a few times throughout the night, but have learned all the best campgrounds have a train track nearby. Convenient location near the 22 and fuel.
Chris and Susan are world class. The park is small and quiet. No issues. I've stayed here numerous times and my go to for the area. Prices are reasonable and the onsite storage makes staying here long term easier on the wallet. Highly recommend.
