Sage view was the perfect winter retreat. We arrived late and the Hosts Scott and Laurie made sure the lights were on and the heater running to make our arrival as comfortable as possible. The grounds are beautiful with such a spectacular view from the cottage. Scott amd Laurie also took the goats for a walk and allowed us to accompany, and feed, them which was incredible. Highly recommend this as a getaway spot!
Sage View was the most perfect wedding venue and Laurie and Scott are amazing to work with! We picked Sage View because we wanted a wedding venue where we could spend time with our friends and family all weekend and have people stay on site. We hosted a BBQ on Friday night with about 50 people in attendance and on Saturday had a wedding with about 65 guests. A larger or smaller wedding would still be great there. It rained a lot the day of the wedding (beautiful and sunny the whole week before and after!) and Laurie and Scott started serving hot drinks from their cantina (in addition to the beer/wine we had planned) and brought out an outdoor space heater for the pavilion. The venue is also gorgeous and all of the lodgings (houses, busses, etc) were well stocked and great to stay in. Definitely would recommend Sage View for a wedding or as a place to visit/stay while in Paonia!
Wonderful, beautiful place. We stayed after our Black Canyon adventure on our Colorado road trip. I wish I had the chance to explore the place/area longer. Owners are salt of the earth people. Lori was so kind with my 9 year old who wanted to chat her ear off. They made sure we were comfortable in "The Studio". We loved the animals and the highlight for me was the outdoor shower. What an invigorating, natural experience! Oh and the stars 🤩
Me and my fiancé had a wonderful time at Sage View Ranch! The cottage was so comfortable and it felt like we weren't even away from home. Laurie and Scott were super nice and such great hosts! They even allowed us to meet their cute nubian goats. Definitely recommend!!

Scott & Laurie maintain a balance of chaos and structure on a highly dynamic property. Plenty of places to lay on the ground, a rock field for rolling around on, trees to snuggle into, mud baths & strategically placed bus seats for a more refined encounter with the spirits of Sage View.
