I hope the camp host has changed since I tried to camp there last. Reserving a spot can take up to two days for it to happen. It's not like other camps where you select the date(s) you want to go, can see what is open and what isn't, click on the spot you want, and reserve. I didn't reserve a spot (didn't know they had switched from first-come, first-serve), and they kicked me out even though the whole camp only had two other camp spots taken. At first I was told I could go ahead and stay two nights since they weren't going to be full until later in the week. I set up camp, went riding, and came back to a $100 warning ticket. When I talked to them again, the camp host was downright mean about it. I never got mad. I was just confused and hurt. There is no cell service to reserve once you're there, so it was a total waste of time to drive there. The website says it requires a minimum of 3 days notice to reserve. Despite it being dark when I finally got packed back up to leave and camp still empty, they never let me stay. I enjoy the many different loops there, as I have camped there prior to this whole on-line reservation system. You can make it as easy or as hard as you want. There are bear there, so just be aware of that.

Great trails, creek water along the trail for my pup and horse. Beaver Creek is a nice rest stop after climbing to the top with outhouse, picnic tables and fresh running water for the horse. Lots of horse trailer parking with mounting blocks, outhouses, water in several locations and picnic tables. Even saw horseshoe pits next to the pavilion. Only negative is the gun range is close by so you can hear them firing their weapons while on some of the trails.

Very well maintained camp ground with plenty of room to highline horses. Clean bathroom and water for the horses if you didn't bring any. It rained while I was there so didn't get a chance to really hit the trails but the ones I did go on were well marked and maintained. Lots of gunfire from the grave pit that is close by so make sure your horses are okay with that.

Very Nice Horse camp facility. We go up camping a few times a year. Sometimes we go up for the day. The trails are really nice. You can go for a short ride or go all day. Yup, I'll love the place.

Horse park is free. Trails are great! rock free means can be muddy in spots when it rains a lot. Bring cart to transport water (not in each campsite) port a potty bathrooms, no showers.
