A beautiful campground with flush toilets and decent sized, fairly private campsites. Difficult to get into during the summer...but we managed to get a site on a Monday right after school started in September with no problem...just be sure you come early!
All sites are pull through. Site C 117 was super. Not too far from bathhouse. Lots of shade. Even had deer walk up to site. No playground for children. There is a dump station. No electricity or water at sites. Generators can be used in loop B and C during certain hours. Rangers were very pleasant.
We chose the campground cause of location. Near going to the sun East gate, many glacial and two medicine. Reservation system is very confusing, rangers give you different information about extending your stay beyond the reservable season. Only 4 showers for loops A,B and C. One had the door jammed and no light. Second day water was switching from warm to cold. Hard to get from one loop to the other. Missing some connection lanes. If you are just looking for location this is you campground for te glaciar park.
Really nice campground, not too crowded. Close to visitor center, which offers cool programs both for kids and adults. We could walk there crossing the creek via bridge with beautiful views. Rangers had interesting evening programs and on Wednwsdays, they host native american singers and dancers.
Got to this campground and tried to check in but the guy at the booth refused to even acknowledge my presence. Weird. I sat there for a few minutes waiting for him to look up because I had a question, but he never did. Trusted my gut and left after I pulled into my site. Wish my experience was better...
