This is our go-to campground for a stop-over when we make the drive from Northern Colorado to Aztec and it's absolutely perfect every time. A gorgeous, new campground with easy access and perfect pull-thru sites for an overnight stay. Sites are well spaced and our dogs love their morning walks down by the river. The campground is also close to town for easy shopping/food/activities. Highly recommend!
Although it is expensive during high season, our river view site was really nice. The roads are well-maintained and sites are well-marked so it was easy to get our 5th wheel into the clean, level spot. Electric and sewer hook-ups were in great condition and worked as they should. There aren't a lot of trees but the river washed out most of the highway road noise. Also, the clubhouse was nice and the showers were great, but I wanted to workout in the gym in the morning and didn't have access due to not having done a liability form for the door code... We also like the direct access to.a walking path on the river. Overall a great stop on our way back to Denver.
This is my happy place. My boyfriend and I have stayed here twice; once in our RV van and another time in the tiny home cabin. Love the location, the views, and the gorgeous clubhouse. This is our go-to place when we visit Salida.
Great place to stay with the family. Close to town and the boat launch area is perfect for floating the river from town and getting out right at your campsite. Our kids loved the playground. The sites were great we had a back in RV site and the full hook ups was very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful and answered any questions we had.
The view from our site was spectacular. Although the trip getting there is curvy, it is well worth the trip to take in the beautiful scenery. The Arkansas River is beside the resort and picnic tables provide a relaxing time for unwinding. The town of Salida offers many dining options.
