We were very disappointed with the service. They refused to even consider us for camping because we only had a Ford F350 with a canopy with camping accommodations inside. So, if you are truck camping make sure you have a tent if you want to stay at this pretentious facility. However we found an amazing spot in campbell river...
We called late in the day to get a full service site for 1 night. Luckily they had a few spots. We arrived just before they closed. Then we went out to dinner & returned after dark. An employee came out and helped guide us in (even though we have a small class b van, it was super nice to have the extra care). Showers/ bathrooms were very clean & water HOT. We didn't get to go in the hot tub but it was inside & looked very inviting. We liked it so much we called them back after adventuring around for a second night. Same great service plus I needed to replace a screw that I bought & didn't realize I didn't have the correct head on my screwdriver. Staff again was very helpful & got me the correct one. Laundry room is very clean too. I highly highly suggest this resort!
Wonderful RV location — more beautiful than you can imagine! Resort-style amenities, meticulously clean and well-tended! Amazing service, super kind, lovely people. So much fun for the whole family! Con: Definitely narrow and not private sites, but if you love visiting with neighbours this is your place! (Highly recommend that they invest in $200 per site 6’ privacy fences between campsites. Even a few hedges would be heavenly.)
Disappointing Experience at Salmon Point We were excited to visit the new restaurant at Salmon Point with friends visiting from the coast, but our experience was ruined by the rude behavior of a man in a golf cart. We are four mature adults, all in our 60s, who were on a long walk with Chef Ryan’s new restaurant as our destination. We were eager to share this new gem with our friends and simply wanted to enjoy a nice lunch. However, this individual approached us with an incredibly disrespectful attitude, treating us as if we were trespassing criminals. He shooed us away like children, making us feel unwelcome and embarrassed. This is not the kind of treatment anyone should receive, especially when locals are trying to share a new spot with friends. We hope the management addresses this issue to prevent others from having a similarly unpleasant experience.
We spent 10 days at Salmon point and it was so relaxing and peaceful. The grounds are well kept and bathrooms are spotless. All the Canadians were so friendly and welcoming and we met some great people. The pink salmon were in and my husband fished from shore everyday. There's also an italian restaurant. I give this place 5 stars and we're hoping to be back to stay longer next year.
