Salmon Run RV Campground & Cabins

This was such an amazing find. As tent campers it can be hard to find good private campgrounds that don’t just cater to RVs. This place has the nicest campsites with a decent amount of privacy. The showers were an added bonus with very clean restrooms. Owner was super nice and helpful. Definitely recommend!

Myself and my partner stayed in site 19 from July 19-21 while attending a little league tournament in Haines. What a wonderful experience Salmon Run is, the owners went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for a safe and comfortable camping experience. When we arrived they notified us of recent bear activity, and gave us an extra airhorn as we only had bear spray on us. The firewood we preordered was delivered before our arrival and was placed under the picnic table safe from the rain and moisture. The bathrooms were clean, and the showers hot. The lot itself was also gorgeous. Lots of space, not too far from the bathrooms, good tree cover without being exceptionally buggy, and the owner even trimmed back some of the bushes earlier that day for a beautiful view of the water. You can tell that a lot of care goes into the operation of this rv/campsite. Thank you for the wonderful stay, we will be back!

Wonderful campground and the cabins were excellent! The views are beyond belief, The owner was by far the friendliest and most helpful during our two week Alaskan family road trip. The shower houses were very clean!! We stayed in the eagles nest cabin and a tent site, both had exceptional views of the inlet and mountains. It is very close to the ferry and other attractions. The 18 RV waterfront sites have electricity and had plenty of room for maneuvering. The tent sites on the hill have spectacular views as well and an amazing river flowing behind them.

Super friendly owners, willing to help with anything-easy check-in process. The bathrooms are super clean and the hot showers are really nice after a long day of hiking (included with the cost of the campsite). Some of the best views of any campground in Haines-granite cliffs with waterfalls across the Lutak inlet. Great, secluded sites for tenting. RV sites have great views across the inlet. Way less mosquitos than the Chilkoot Lake Campground. Close to town and bear/eagle viewing. Very limited road noise. Cute dry log cabins with bunks and dining tables. Would definitely stay here again! We loved our stay!
