Salt Lick Creek Campground

Although it's rained our entire time here, thanks to hurricane Helene, the campground itself is nice, and bathrooms/showers are kept clean. The laundry is FREE. They have one washer and one dryer, but it's FREE to use, which is a plus! There is NO WIFI unless you go to the bath house or drive up to the main gate, so be prepared for that. If you're looking to completely unplug, then this campground is right up your alley. The closest walmart is in Carthage 30 min away, Dollar General is about 20 minutes away. There is a beach area for swimming, boating, fishing and jet skiing on the lake. Overall, it's a nice place to relax and get away from it all.

This was the cleanest campground we have ever been to! It was so nice, quiet and peaceful. The restrooms and bath houses were so clean! The staff was extremely friendly. Even though our site was not right on the water, all we had to do was walk around the corner! This place put ALL other campgrounds to shame! Did I mention you can SWIM, too!?! Perfect place to bring the family and can't wait to go back!

Very quiet. No nonsense campground. The campers are friendly. The staff is amazing. There is abundant wildlife to view. So far it's my favorite campsite in TN

Salt Lick Creek Campground is so beautiful and peaceful. It's so clean and manicured. The lake is beautiful and the campsites are very nice. We can hardly wait to return. It's really a great place to camp and it's truly just quiet and serene. There's lots of trees, so that's very nice, especially on those hot summer days. We will be back soon. Thanks for making our visit one that we will remember. Making family memories is priceless.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be coming back. I personally enjoyed the woodland site because of the shade and sewer hookups. Biggest con: no cell service Biggest pro: no cell service It's an amazing refresher every now and then to get semi disconnected from the grid. If you like that, this is your place.
