This was our first time staying at the San Antonio KOA, and I will say that our family loved it! The restrooms were clean, and the area was nice and quiet, and the entire staff were friendly and helpful. We purchased pizza and wings at the Hunts Brothers Pizza, which were reasonably priced. Since we stayed for New Year's week, we experienced an excellent New Year's fireworks show. From now on, this site will be our go-to location when we have personal or business appointments.

Very nice park. Pleasant staff. Location is close to downtown. Good utilities. Cable TV is good. WiFi is poor. Barely works for general browsing most of the day.

This campground was an A+, it is top notch! We don’t usually like many KOAs but this one is special. One of the very best campgrounds so far on all of our journeys. Super new, clean bathrooms and showers, nicely paved, gravel spots, well maintained. This was more like an awesome state park, sites were spacious and there is a very nice bike/pedestrian greenway, Salado Creek Greenway, you can access right from the property. HIGHLY recommend this place if coming to San Antonio, it’s close to everything.

Stayed 5 nights in our camper at this KOA. By far the cleanest campground we have ever stayed at! The bathrooms and showers were all well kept and maintained! The overall campgrounds were well lit, well maintained and very clean! The staff is super friendly and helped us extend our stay with no trouble at all! We felt very safe staying there as the gates close at 8pm sharp and there is always someone at the gate shack during the day. The campground is located close to downtown without being IN downtown. All the sights and attractions are within a 15 minute drive even if you take the small roads and avoid the highways. We will definitely stay here again! My only drawback is that we wish the cafe had more options for food besides pizza and wings, but it’s not worth taking away a star. We still had a BLAST! Thank you Alamo KOA staff!
