Customer Reviews
This is a big KOA, nice grounds, some children's activities, heated pool and hot tub. Those are the positive qualities. The park itself is laid out poorly, tight roads, and short sites. You can fit a large rig in the sites, but you will have to spend some time moving it around to get into the sites. We were here from December 15 to January 15 to enjoy the Bay Area during the holidays. The Bay Area was great, this park was a nightmare. We have never been in a park with such inconsiderate campers before. It was utter chaos. The park says they have quiet hours, etc, yet enforcement is pretty lax. Ironic too that during the LA wild fires and fire watch in this area that the park continued to sell firewood and allow campfires. With a monthly site rental you have to pay for power at this park. They are not very clear on the power charges when you check in, but you will become very familiar when you check out. Their current rates for electric are .40 per kilowatt hour for first 25, then it jumps up to .50 for everything there after. Now of course that's not the going rate for electricity in the Bay Area, this is just the KOA price gouging the monthly renter. Absolutely appalling to us as full time travelers. Our kids rented a deluxe cabin that slept 6 for a long weekend while we were here. The cabin did not have enough bedding for the beds and when we asked for more bedding they were told there was none available. Why have cabins for 6 and not provide adequate bedding is beyond me. Not only that, the kitchen was stocked with 4 place settings, etc for 6 occupants. Really a poorly managed park. The options in the Bay Area are very limited, we picked this park based on reviews and certainly wish we would have explored other options. Needless to say we will never return to this park.
It is always challenging to entertain teenagers. The activity schedule was perfect! They participated in lollipop scavenger hunt, candy bingo, friendship bracelets, and more. The swimming pool and Jacuzzi were perfect. Their jumping playground was their favorite. having the fire pit next to our cabin is perfect. They had s’mores and participated in conversation. They were so busy they didn’t use their cell phones and even played and walked our dog!
Perfect for family weekend getaways. Kid-friendly with plenty of activities to keep little ones entertained. Conveniently located for quick escapes from city life. Standout feature: impeccably clean bathrooms. Whether in tents or RVs, campers enjoy a blend of outdoor adventure and modern comforts. Ideal for those seeking a memorable, family-oriented camping experience near San Diego.
I was visiting from canada for the summer. I stayed here in an RV for a week and it was very pleasant. The staff were very nice and the little car rentals are clean. It is nice and quite and the pool is clean aswell. They have a shop to buy stuff if you forget anything such as pasta noodles, chips and more. I rated the rooms a 3 because I didnt stay in one but I heard they are small. Very fun, Fav part of trip!
Local and very popular with visitors. Place is always nice and clean. Customer service is excellent abs have many family friendly activities. Pool always clean and at 10pm they come around to ensure quiet time is enforced but generally everyone isn't loud.
