Customer Reviews
We’ve stayed here several times before, and are always so happy with the experience. Very well maintained by super nice staff, which makes for a very welcoming experience. We’re from Vancouver BC so we’re far from home, but they make us feel like we’re not. Kids activities are great, especially around Halloween. Close enough to San Francisco to make day trips easy. Also close to a lot of amazing wineries (Coppola and Cline are favourites). Pool and spa facilities are awesome, as are the shower/washrooms. No negatives to speak of!
This was our first trip to the San Francisco North / Petaluma KOA and it was wonderful! The campground itself is beautiful, with lots of gorgeous trees towering over many of the sites. We loved all of the amenities and our kids loved visiting the petting zoo, jumping pillow, and especially the very large pool. The pool is the nicest we've ever encountered at a campground and we really appreciated the large amount of loungers and pop up tents available for everyone to use. The campground is located in a rural area, but it was a great place to stay out of the city, but still close enough to visit the city. We were able to take the SMART train from Petaluma to Larkspur and then hop on the Golden Gate Ferry to get over to San Francisco. This was a really nice option which allowed us not to have to worry about parking in the city. We were also able to drive about 45 minutes north to visit Armstrong Woods, which is a stunning Redwood forest. The campground itself was super clean and very peaceful. We hope to stay again if in the area!
This is from a stay back in September. I booked a full hookup spot. They put me in a spot where they service your tanks. The guys serving it was shaking the camper hard and broke my black dump valves. They told me shrugged their shoulders and left. When I informed the front desk they told me that's an easy fix for me to do. I didn't break it and no management called me back. It was in fact not an easy fix. I had to take it for repairs which cost me $800 to fix what the KOA employees broke. The campground is nice but the employees don't care if they break your equipment.
A return trip for us and the staff are amazing, and attentive. Facility and sites are clean and well maintained. Many different site options available (trailer/rv/cabins). Office/store on site for little things you may need. 2 laundry facilities available. Lots of family and kid friendly activities here!!
The staff is wonderful! From the first step in the office door it was a first class camping experience. The grounds are maintained well with beautiful flowers and shrubbery. There are huge redwoods in the middle section where we were giving us plenty of shade.
