Bring ear plugs if you want to avoid nearby traffic noise from waking you up at night. Bring thick sleeping pads because the ground is really bumpy. Also, no shower is available.
If you have a large group, this is a fantastic place to come camping. Our YMCA group has been here several times throughout the years, each time having a blast. There are hiking trails nearby of varying length. There's a nature center up the hill that has great examples of native wildlife. The bathrooms have been out of order for some time, but they do provide porta johns for use by the campers.
The actual site is nice, it also gets pretty cold during the night during the winter though, I went last night and it got as low as 24 degrees. Also, there are a lot of gopher holes, so take caution when walking at night. Putting a tent down has no problems, as it's flat everywhere. The fire pits are also nice, and have space to put your legs in when the fire is burning. Overall, one of my favorite sites
Favorite camping place. Highly recommended:)
