The scenery is beautiful and worth the washboard road! Just take it slow and steady. There are plenty of places to stop and sight see or take off road adventures to the highest degree along with places for a potty break. I recommend taking plenty of water and sunscreen with a camera ready to go! We even saw a Great Basin Gopher snake crossing the road! Yikes... Lol!
Great little hidden gem. Cool OHV Riding Area with lots of things to explore. Heads up, the drive in from the freeway kinda sucks. No restrooms, no covered areas or trees for shade etc.
Accessible camping near Arches National Park and Moab. Very busy recreation area filled with bikes and side by sides. The Juniper campground was located 7 miles from the entrance with 6+miles of dirt road. The road was passable without a 4-wheel drive but was rough in spots. We drove in with a class B motorhome pulling a 12' trailer. Our campsite, J2, was large enough for 2 vehicles and our trailer. The site had a fire pit and picnic table, and the area was clean. We found our site quiet and away from the majority of the road noise. Camp sites were far enough away from other campsites that we had privacy and didn't hear our neighbors. A great trail is located on the loop at the end of the road going into Juniper campground. I was able to walk our dog and explore some local rock formations.
Coming from desert and woods riding this was a slower pace with incredible traction on slants of all degrees. A lot of fun on unbelievable terrain! Stopped for a break and had lots of help offered by people on all types of bikes and machines. A place not to be missed!
The stunning landscapes and exhilarating trails provided a perfect playground for outdoor enthusiasts like me. From the iconic Slickrock Trail to the breathtaking views, every moment was filled with adventure. Highly recommend exploring this unique spot for an unforgettable experience!
