Just left Sand Hollow Reservoir, and overall, it was an amazing experience! The red rock scenery against the deep blue water is absolutely stunning. We spent the day kayaking, cliff jumping, and relaxing on the shore. The water was warm and perfect for swimming, but unfortunately, I did end up with a bit of swimmer’s itch. It’s not a dealbreaker, but I wish I had rinsed off right away. Despite that, it’s still one of the most beautiful and fun spots in southern Utah. Just come prepared, and you’ll have a great time!

Sand hollow is the diamond in the rough location of St. George Utah. From water sports to dunes. There is so much outdoor fun to be had here. As a side note if you are there to ride your rzr just go to the free parking south of the entrance. Do not enter the park. But for all water activities you will need to go through the entrance.

I have avoided this reservoir for in the summer it is very hot down here, but we went in the late fall, and it was so beautiful and perfect temperatures. The lake was beautiful. The one side is perfect for playing in the sand, while the other has gorgeous red rock pretty beaches. I took a walk from the parking lot, and every few feet it was just breathtakingly beautiful. There is even a spot where there is a quaint small waterfall cascading down the rocks. We love to kayak around this lake. It more fun than most lakes because of the island out in the lake. It is not only beautiful to.kayak around, but there are all these cute gullies you can kayak into.and see unique birds hanging out in there. My husband loves the fishing there, for he caught some fun fish while kayaking on the lake. Delightful way to spend an afternoon.

Girls love coming here camping so they could go cliff jumping. This time. The water level was lower but they swam out to the island and had a blast.

This was such a beautiful place! All the 4x4 roads are awesome! I will definitely be coming back to see more!
