We are on the San Juan River's Edge, Warm, windy, wild flowing full with runoff sledge. Camped along the prickly Russian Olive shoreline hedges. Spent the evening gazing at the Utah skyline earth stone edges. And everything and everyone.....seems quite...alright! Enjoy this campground.

A sleepy little BLM campground situated near Bears Ears National Monument. FCFS. $7.50 with a senior pass. The San Juan River runs beside the campground. Outfitters and rafting trips can be booked in the town of Bluff, launching from the campground.

We didn’t camp, just stopped to see the petroglyphs. There are a lot of them! Such a disappointment that they have been defaced. There is a fence around it now, hopefully that will keep them in tact. Stop, if you are in the area.

With only 23 campsites divided between 2 loops, how can you not feel your blood pressure go down. Some sites are more secluded than others. I have a very short walk to the river in campsite 17. Close enough but not that close to attack the serious river bank bugs. Campsite is very spacious. For senior price of 7.50$, can't go wrong. There is some road noise but who cares. Bring your own water just in case. Or, maybe your a rockhounder!
