Sand Lake Campground & Cottages

We needed a close spot for a 1 month work project. So we booked site unseen for 1 week just to make sure this place would meet our needs. Gary assured me that this would be a great choice with all our needs were a short drive. Turns out my guys and I had a perfect working vacation the facility met and exceeded our a time away from home. After the first few nights I booked for the rest of the month. Awesome place awesome people I spend alot of time traveling for work with my workers and this has been hands down a pleasure to have stayed hear. Gary Doug And Bear keep up the great work.

We took a chance on this little campground not knowing what to expect. Well it has been an absolutely wonderful find. Gary , the owner and his manager Doug are nothing short of amazing people. They cannot do enough for you. Thank you all for making our stay a memorable one. Keep smiling Gary and keep entertaining with your kindness Doug. You guys make one heck of a team.

Spent the weekend here and we were very pleased with everything. Excellent price, beautiful location and great accommodations. The thing that stood out the most was the owner, Gary, and his team. Not only were they friendly and approachable, but you can really tell they care about what they are doing. Very welcoming!

This campsite relies heavily on its exceptional location, but the facilities are outdated, poorly maintained, and insufficient. The cottage, priced at $130 per night (tax included), wasn't clean when we arrived. The tap water didn't seem drinkable, and the shabby couch was anything but inviting. The shower area was cramped, poorly equipped, and badly maintained. The experience is definitely not worth the nightly rate. We would have much preferred to pitch our own tent. However, we did appreciate the availability and flexibility of the very friendly manager. My partner and I are bike travelers and we stayed at the Frontier Cabin on August 7th, 2024.

Initially, I was hesitant due to the great pricing for the prime location.. I didn’t think it was possible to find such a great place for such an affordable price but it turned out to be a perfect campsite. Brought my teenagers here and they had a blast. The owner was very helpful and made sure we had a great time! Will definitely be recommending the campsite and will be returning.
