A beautiful campground tucked away in the WV mountains. Very quiet. The sites are spacious and heavily wooded/shaded. Many are not level. We needed extra blocks to level our motor home and noticed that those around us did so also. The pool and playground were clean and enjoyable. The laundry room was small, with only two washing machines and dryers. We enjoyed our stay.
Just far enough away from I-68 but close enough to Cooper's Rock. Quiet and cozy...we stayed in the off season but still had office staff that was very nice and accommodating. Found the neat little fairy tree while walking the grounds
Well maintained and quiet campground! We used this campground as an overnight stay to break up our longer trip. We wished we would have stayed two nights! Very friendly staff, small playground for the kids. They had a nice pool but since we were just dropping in we didn’t swim. The sites were easy to access and offered gravel and grassy areas between the sites. we loved our rustic fire pit too!
This is a peaceful and overall well maintained campground. The front desk staff was friendly. They have an arcade, laundry facility and pool (was under renovation when I was there). The campground is a decent size if you want to go on a walk or short run. The only reason why I gave 4 stars is it was challenging to level because the big gravel rocks on the site. I would love to come back here in the future.
This is a really nice average size campground offering a mix of RV and tent sites. The sites are all nice sized and some are huge. Sites are gravel with grass between. Each site also has a fire pit and picnic table. The roads in the campground are gravel but are in good condition. There is good tree cover throughout the campground. It was actually pretty amazing that with all the trees in the campground the grounds were kept very clean. It shows real pride of ownership. There are two showers and one small laundry room which were a bit outdated but usable. There is also a really nice pool. AT&T cell service was pretty good, Verizon was pretty bad. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
Stayed a weekend here. It was early season so the pool wasn’t open yet, but looked to be a decent size. The grounds are nice and wooded, and very quiet. I loved the fire pits made of stone, which allowed larger pieces of wood compared to other campgrounds with metal rings. We did not use the bathhouses at all. We did smell the sewage smell when out walking as others stated, but at our site we didn’t smell it at all. The water pressure was low at times. The playground is geared more towards smaller kids I think, but the 6 year old with us enjoyed the swings. The arcade is suitable enough for some entertainment as well. The lady at check in was great, very friendly, walked outside to show us where to go. The lady working Saturday seemed like she didn’t want to be there and put off a bad vibe unfortunately. We would like to come back during season to see the tree growth and have nicer weather. It rained the weekend we came. All in all a nice, quiet campground.
