Sandy Bottoms-Up Campground

We’ve been camping at Sandy Bottoms-Up Campground for almost four years, and it’s been an amazing experience every time. The scenery is absolutely stunning, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere that helps us unwind and enjoy nature. Our kids love it just as much as we do! There’s so much for them to explore, and one of our favorite family activities is spending time at the fishing pond in the back. It’s such a great addition to the campground—whether we’re fishing or just enjoying the view, it’s always a highlight of our stay. What makes this place truly stand out, though, are the incredible owners. They are some of the kindest, most welcoming people you’ll meet, and their hard work and dedication to improving the campground really shows. In the time we’ve been coming here, they’ve made so many upgrades that have enhanced the experience for everyone. They also host fantastic events during the summer, including live bands, which makes for a fun and lively atmosphere. Sandy Bottoms-Up Campground has become a home away from home for us. It’s the perfect combination of natural beauty, fun activities, and a warm, inviting community. We’re so thankful for the memories we’ve made here and look forward to making many more. If you’re looking for a campground that truly has it all, this is the place to be!

Such a lovely place to spend a weekend! There are a very limited number of cabins to rent but if you’re lucky enough to get one, it’s well worth the $80 per night! They each have a bedroom with a queen sized bed and a loft with smaller beds and a pullout couch. The cabins also have electricity! There is a community bathroom with running water and flush toilets, and the campground offers live music and events on the weekends. Plus this spot is located close to the Grant River, which makes for a great day of river floating! We will definitely be back next year.

We stayed in the Family Farm cabin with our 2 year old and my cousin stayed in the Paddlehouse with there family for the weekend and we LOVED IT! It was great with our kiddos and being right across from the bathroom/showers. We had fun fishing the river and enjoying the campfire. The owners Betty and Dwayne are SO nice and accommodating. The campground has a lot to offer and I definitely recommend for anyone with families or if you're just wanting a little getaway!

What a great camping experience! Came here with little notice for a tent site. There was a band here and it was packed with fun people! Despite it being busy, the owners made us feel at home. I can not express how friendly the owners and other campers were here. We will return and recommend!

Again, had another wonderful camping experience. Owners are so friendly, permanent campers are wonderful. Lots of good fishing, love seeing the turtles in the ponds, and I see the kids enjoying the nice playground area. The music/ live bands were fantastic Friday night. Even bought t- shirt souvenirs. We spent some time down town at a bar for Karaoke and great food.
