Talk about exceeding hospitality!! Took our camper and family out for my birthday trip, of course the state park spots were fully booked and we found this little 💎gem!!! We were met by the owner and he guided us to our spot, we were immediately greeted by other tenants whom even helped settle in. The camp ground was clean, spacious, calm, and kid friendly!!!Surprising there was a private trail that was a 15 min walk to the first water fall!! There was also a beautiful little creek that flowed along side of the campground which provided more fun for the kids! I definitely recommend 👌

This is one of our favorite campgrounds! Such a great rural and intimate location-just walk through the woods to Stone Mountain State Park! Each camper gets personalized service from Barry (Sandy Creek owner) or one of his relatives. Firewood, wifi, electrity, water, playground with accessories, and a clean bathhouse are available. Bring your RV or stay in a tent; most of the sites are RIGHT on the creek! This is worth the drive even if you can only spend the day. It is also only 20 minutes from the town of Elkin, for groceries and supplies and Sparta, NC is only 30 minutes away, right on the NC/VA border.

Beautiful, peaceful place to camp. We got spot right next to the creek. It was so quiet there and only 2 other campers on the weekday night we stayed. It's about a 10 minute hike to the Lower Falls in Stone Mountain State Park. Barry, the owner, was very accommodating and easy going. We will be back for sure!
