***My previous review was meant for Lake Nacimiento Sandy Point Campground but for some reason it posted Oaknoll. We had a great time at Lake Nacimiento at the en of April and beginning of May. We drove with our 3 pups and they absolutely loved it. My husband rented a space near the bathrooms which was vital! We were within walking distance to the lake so we took several trips down. We did have a little bit of reception so we were able to communicate with our family back home. There were not a lot of people during the whole weekend we were there except for Saturday. We were there 4 days from Friday to Monday. There was a store a couple of miles away from the site and I was surprised at how large it was and the variety of things there. During one of my drives I got lost and one of their campground staff redirected me to the right place. He was very friendly and helpful. The office staff was also very nice. I had a client appointment on Sunday and they let me use their office to do my zoom meeting. Overall it was a really good experience and I recommend it to any family wanted to get away.
We towed our 26ft trailer and camped at spot 507 . Narrow but manageable to get in and out. 507 was huge. Clean site, water source available for basic needs. Private beach area easily accessible for the water level.
Had so much fun. Best place ever. It was so beautiful.
Beautiful camp site but very sandy so expect a lot of dust when camping here. Lots of raccoons and wildlife will visit you during the night so make sure to pack up and put everything away or else you'll wake up to your chips, bread, food picked up by something.
The site was decent but it was a bit small in my opinion. The lake was nice and the fishing was good. I caught a huge largemouth. So my issues are one it's way overpriced at 120 a night, and two the fire pit was smashed down to almost nothing and none of them had a grille there was a small bbq at each site but I would have preferd to cook over the fire. The fire pit wasn't tall enough for us to use our own grille either. The bathroom wasn't maintained both toilets in the mens room were backed up the first Saturday then the second Sunday and only one shower worked and also didn't look super well maintained. Considering I have used much nicer showers and bathrooms in cheaper campgrounds it was also dissapointing.
