Customer Reviews
We have be coming here for a few years and this campground is perfect for families with children, lots to do. Great place to just sit back and relax too. The manager Pam is awesome, professional and a great help. Her staff is friendly and helpful as well. Grounds are well kept as are showers etc… Location is perfect, close to shopping and easy access to Cap Cod and the island ferries, a real nice campground
This is a quaint little campground that is very well taken care of. As some reviews said, it does need some updating and some trees trimmed. However, this campground has an amazing community with the seasonal campers. We stayed for a week and quickly became friends with many, and everyone helps keep an eye out on children. 10/10 would stay again. Some big perks to this camp ground, is that it is affordable, within 30 minute drive of beautiful ocean beaches, the ferry to Marthas Vineyard. Has a great store right outside the campground that you can easily walk to. The employees are extremely friendly. And on weekends it seems they set up fun activities such as this awesome bubble trailer party that showed up!
Beautiful layout. Loved being in the peaceful pines next to the pond. Facilities clean, very close by and convenient. The full market store was a plus. We will return again next year.
Subject: Feedback on Our Recent Stay at Sandy Pond Campground While we usually refrain from posting reviews or sharing negative experiences, we felt compelled to provide feedback on our recent stay, as it was particularly disappointing. Upon arrival, we encountered an unhelpful and discourteous reception from the manager. After a few days we decided to extend our stay to explore more of the Cape area and were informed that we needed to move to a different site, despite the park being half-empty. We complied, only to find that the site remained vacant for the next four days. Additionally, we faced difficulties with the gate access code. After-hours assistance was unresponsive to our detailed voicemail, and we were only able to enter the park thanks to a friends of ours who shared their code who were staying in the park as well. When we addressed this issue at the office, the manager showed no concern for the lack of follow-up or the inconvenience caused. Another significant issue was the lack of reliable internet access. Both our AT&T and T-Mobile signals were non existent as well, forcing us to drive 20 minutes to the nearest Starbucks to use their Wi-Fi. Lastly, we found the park to be ill-suited for larger RVs due to its narrow, outdated roads and tight spaces with cars parked. Given these challenges, we will not be returning to Sandy Pond Campground in the future.
Our site, like most here, was so unlevel that our jacks were barely able to level our camper. The site had not been mowed in weeks. This campground is very old and desperately needs a refresh with an excavator and bulldozer to level sites. Having said that it is clean and large enough for daily walking. We paid $20 extra for our dog but the bags at the doggie station were empty the entire weekend. There is a great general store just outside.
