Great little spot to park your rv for a couple nights and explore santa cruz. Quiet at night. Lovely atmosphere by the water/marina and is only a short walk to the beach. Also a great path around the marina to walk your dog
The area is a 5 star A lot of bikes and people walking with and without dogs. The rv park is a 2 star. The rv park is at the beginning of a parking lot. It is a parking spot with full hookups. Hard to back in with cars going bye There is a lot of car traffic with people parking at the opposite end. The park host is not friendly Like someone else said, he bark at us because we park before checking in, we were in spot 2. Our reservation was charged a $25 fee for a guarantee spot.The next day he told us that we did not check in and ask when were we leaving. He told us that we did not park correctly, we park between the lines. We never found public bathrooms all bathrooms were locked or were for the slip dock people We were not the only ones that he did this to , we heard him tell two others the same thing.
very disappointing visit, mostly due to ancient campground host who lived in a run down trailer there and his greeting to me, when I came in 25 minutes early, and seeing my site open with a cone in it, he barked at me 12 oclock. Not welcome, not hi, but what a jerk. I had to go park in another part of marina for 25 minutes to get in. He is a terrible ambassador for this place. plus the sites are very short regardless of what they say. I'd skip this one until they get new management.
Great place !! Host is very friendly and knowledgeable. About a 3/4 mile walk to the beach and well worth it, restaurants on the beach are really good. Dog park across the harbor up the stairs with friendly people and pets. We will definitely be back.
I was actually on a walk through Arana Gulch and down to the harbor. Found a nice bench in front of the RV park. I'd never noticed it was there. I had never seen all the spots full Is why I didn't know it was a RV park. Everything you need is there and your at the harbor in Santa Cruz.
