Santa Rita Lodge

This wonderful place nestled in the beautiful mountains of Madera Canyon is a great day adventure just to sit and listen to the wind talk through the trees, also authentic rustic cabins for the weekend. Coffee and gift shop that is super. Bird watching area with wild turkey. Hummingbirds and peaceful surroundings.

Birds! That's what I was here for! While I didn't get the chance to stay here overnight, it's the perfect place to spend an hour or three and spy on the birds! Thank you Santa Rita Lodge for your great stewardship of all the local avians! Oh and don't forget to visit their Gift shop! Filled with great things AND a coffee bar! What better way to watch the birds than with a great cup of coffee!

This lodge was rustic and adorable. It had all the necessities. The views were incredible on the hikes. Saw so many animals and birds. Can't wait to explore Madera canyon more and go back for hiking/mountain biking. I was shocked there were so many springs and the water was still flowing with this drought.

This is one of my favorite places in Arizona. I've stayed here dozens of times and have never been disappointed. The rooms aren't fancy but they are clean and comfortable. Many have been updated. The birding, wildlife and hiking you can do from this place is fantastic. There are easy hikes nearby and down canyon from the lodge and more strenuous hikes as you head up the canyon. If you aren't up for hiking, just sitting at the bird feeder area is a great way to spend some time. During migration seasons the numbers of hummingbirds is wonderful to watch.

Hands down one of the best spots to go birding! There's also tea and many cute gifts here. Thank you so much to the people to maintain the area!
