I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Santa Rosa Campground & RV Park in Santa Rosa, New Mexico—from my very first phone call to my stay. When I called to ask about reservations and some park details, my interaction with CC was stellar. She even had to call me back with answers to some of my questions, and she followed through promptly. They accommodated my needs and eased my concerns about the area. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Chris at check-in, who was nothing but pleasant, funny, and welcoming. The hospitality here is top-notch! I also ordered dinner from the on-site barbecue restaurant, and the food was amazing—the ribs fell right off the bone, and the green beans were delicious. When I mentioned that I wanted to share the green beans with my dog, Kuiper, they made sure they were served plain so he could enjoy them too. That level of thoughtfulness really stood out to me. As someone who works as a house cleaner, I have high standards for restrooms, and let me tell you—the bathrooms here exceeded every expectation. They were spotless, better than I ever could have imagined at a campground. The resident campers were incredibly friendly, making the whole experience even more welcoming. And for fellow bird lovers, this place is a hidden gem! There’s a marsh area nearby filled with birds. Some that I spotted included American Robins, Western Bluebirds, and Dark-eyed Juncos. I can only imagine what other species are out there! A special bonus for dog owners—the dog park here is amazing! It’s perfectly clean, well-kept, and large enough for your dog to run around and burn off energy. Kuiper loved it, and it was the perfect way for him to stretch his legs after a long drive. On top of everything, the value here is incredible. The pricing is more than fair for the level of service, amenities, and cleanliness you get—honestly, they could charge more, but I’m grateful they don’t. It’s rare to find a place that delivers such high quality at such reasonable rates. If you’re traveling along I-40, skip Albuquerque and stay in Santa Rosa instead—whether you’re headed east or west, this campground is absolutely worth it. I can’t recommend it enough! Next time I visit New Mexico, I will definitely be back!

Nice little stop off of I40. Friendly and fast service. Check in was easy and the girl was sweet. Man came around and ask that we unhook water due to freeze. Told him I was cooking and we needed baths. He said no problem. Just please unhook as soon as you're done. My dogs barked at him and he just smiled and said that's ok. That's what they are for. Real nice guy. Beautiful view and maintained. If I had to complain it would be i only stopped for the night. Could have spent a week here. Love the setup.

Made a reservation over the phone with Chris. Pulled in 2 days later to find a really well run campground. Met Chris personally and he is a really nice guy. We ate at their restaurant on the premises and were served great food by kind & friendly staff. We will definitely stay here again. Thanks Chris & crew.

Our family has been staying at this campground for the past 5 years. The grounds are well maintained and restrooms are kept clean. The owner, Chris, has always made us feel very welcome. This year, we had an extra bonus, his new staff! (I apologize, I didn't get their names) They went over and above to make sure we had what we needed! Very much appreciated! Don't even get me started on their amazing BBQ! They will deliver it right to your RV! This campground is an all around gem in the desert. I would definitely recommend it. Kelly Marshall

Small campground close to I-40. The staff was pleasant, actually Rain, the woman that checked us in was awesome. The sites level, electric and water worked well. Shower room was clean and the shower stalls had been updated. Downside: It had snowed/rained recently and there were a few mud holes in the road. There is also some train noise at night. Overall a decent place to spend the night at the right price.
