Let me tell you, it was an experience. (We went in august of last year) When we got there, the man and I assumed his son greeted us very nicely. As we were setting up, he allowed us to pick berries, which was fun for my gf and our friend and our tent didn't have a top protector for it, so he let us borrow one of his! One of the nights it was thunderstorms all around and of course the protector didn't protect much so we had to go out and find the guy but he was no where and we tried calling him but no answer so we had to use our brains and found this canopy. This whole ordeal was straight up a bit out of a sitcom. The rains pouring down on us while we set it up in the middle of the night. There was also a kitty! We let it sleep with us during the thunderstorm. Also, the bathroom... not a lot of privacy, so I washed my hair and had quick bathroom breaks lol. Overall experience was fun. Will definitely go to forks again.. maybe not this campsite though.
The bathroom is like something out of a horror movie. No, just no. It would be better to get honey buckets. We couldn’t find the water source so we had to go to town to eat out. Sheets on the bed in the teepee were dirty and we found a bed bug. Luckily we had our tent. Nice grassy field to set it up on. The host never responded to calls and texts about these issues. The river was very beautiful and fun to play in. There is a cool swing the kids loved, but there were multiple hazards such as rusty metal objects, tools and chemicals lying around. Tent camping ok if you don’t mind ruffing it and you bring your own water and watch the kids.
Worst place to go. Not as advertised. Host was supposed to be Lisa. It was Hyde and dylan. Hyde didn't even know who we were when we told her our reservation. The bathroom was by far the worst part, it was a health code violation in every way. A rest stop bathroom is 5 star quality compared to this. Tacked on to a barn with Squishy plywood..... The place was pictured as nice and clean. But it was not at all. Camp ground right behind a junk yard!?!? Trash literally everywhere!!! And the "privet" camp was 10ft away from 3 others!!! Not as advertised. It was 70 a night. It felt like a 20 a night campground. Do not go here.
What to Expect? This place is such a treasure! Camping by the creek is super fun! Here’s what to expect: 1. It’s an open camp area, and you can camp wherever you like as long as you are respectful of others. 2. You will have to figure out your way on Google Maps. The directions given here will take you to the back side /other side of the creek. 3. Washroom is available. It’s not the cleanest but it’s much better than a Honey Bucket. (You are camping and you cannot complain, having a washroom is a Lux near camp grounds) 4. Gas station is 5 mins away! 5. Wood is available on site for 5 usd. 6. Owners will not reply on phone or emails. It’s fine, you can still figure out everything by talking to fellow campers.
Fun, eclectic campground with lots of random items around to discover. We watched the meteor shower from the big open field then camped just up from the creek and the ambiance was incredible. Only downside is the bathroom, but it's close to town so that's an easy workaround. Loved it!
