Customer Reviews
Seriously the nicest people. They were booked over memorial weekend and we only needed to park overnight on our long drive. They offered us power up top by the office but we’re setup well for boondocking so we parked in the beautiful field below no hookup. Such a gorgeous place to stop. Great showers. Little store with stuff. Nice folks. Beautiful property with walking trails in the woods. We’ll be back!
It was wonderfully quiet. Enough so that I could hear the little stream babbling along all night. The owner, an Airforce vet of Vietnam, has been there for 30 years. He wasn't around when I first pulled in, so I set up camp and went back to the office. I found him visiting with another patron on the way up. He finished the conversation and met me at the office. I checked in, paid, and had a short conversation with him. Very nice gentleman who offered a but of fresh produce to me. Definitely stay a night or two there.
Our truck developed a engine problem and we called looking for a spot to hold up while waiting for it to be repaired. They took us right in..... our site was on the edge of a beautiful meadow. Water and electric only ...$10 for a pump out... All the sites are around the out side of meadow with plenty of room between the trailer. The owner told us about a local truck mechanic who could fix her....They are adding more sites this winter so they will probably have a site available .
Noisiest campground in the world. All their heavy equipment is run all the time very loud. Early Morning, noon and afternoon. This place is right next to French Creek, off of Rt. 89
I love the peace and quiet here. Steve and Brenda do a great job of making people feel welcome and try to accommodate people in any way they can. The sites include water and electric with a tank pump out service offered. Also with the sites is a picnic table and fire ring. With big sites to park your camper on people can stay a variety of ways: a night, few nights, week, season, the possibilities are endless. Stay as long as you want. I love it here enough I have decided to stay the whole season next year. If you want a totally rustic adventure they offer tent sites and trails in the woods.
In spring of 2024, I took a job based in Erie, Pennsylvania. I arrived, and searched for an RV Campgrounds to stay at til I got everything sorted. I found Savidge's Creekside, stayed a couple of nights, and then took a full season option. It is cheaper that way, but you do pay up front. :) I was there til the end of October. Over the time there, I had multiple opportunities to talk with the owners, observe how they ran things. In every circumstance, the warmth, generosity and care shown was outstanding. The owners are great, hard working people just building their own little campground. Last fall they were expanding more spaces, had ran electric, water, brought in some fill. There are little improvments constantly being done, and some of the past improvements had been explained to me. The bathrooms have great hot water, seem to be heated. The camping area sits in a bit of a lower area, and is slightly cooler. And there are lots of trees. I told them I was going to write a review, but I guess 6 months later is still good? :) Thanks guys for the great stay for the season!
I have camped there for 4 years as a seasonal. Great people and great place to spend your summers.
