Stayed there in June 2018, at the second-last campsite from the end. The area and the site was very nice and secluded, but the site itself was strewn with garbage. Cigarette butts, bottle caps, cans, and general garbage were everywhere, to the point where I had to clean it up before I set up my tent. I'm willing to give site management the benefit of the doubt, since I was there on a Monday, so it's possible that it happened over the weekend and they just hadn't had a chance to get there yet, but a lot of the stuff looked like it had been there a while, so... Even with that, I'd still return. I drove by many other campsites and didn't see a lot of garbage.

Beautiful campgrounds, public pit toilets were fairly clean. They have nice fire rings at each camp site as well as picnic table (tables in disrepair) the big complaint we had with campgrounds is that it is overrun night and day with "very aggressive raccoons" !! At one point we had 24 raccoons walking right in searching for food (wich we kept locked away) But during meals they would come within six feet of our picnic table while four grown men tried to run them off made the trip an awful experience !!!

All the sites were HUGE! It was great! Well kept grounds and sites. Yes, it is primitive campsites, but that doesn’t make it any less fun. We had four sites all together with friends and family. The campgrounds was quiet after we went to bed….LOL. Really enjoyed the area as well.

Was a good camping trip. There was a pond close when I was a kid, now it's a long walk or having to go outside of the campgrounds to fish.

Nice quiet camp ground, well maintained. This is primitive camping no electric or water. They are in the process of upgrading the area with cabins and welcome center but probably a couple years off yet.
