This is one amazing and majestic National Forest. From the Apliine Lakes to the lush valley floors, the scenery is stunning. Some of my most favorite memories are of this place. The rocky crags that are scattered throughout this area are many, along with the thousands of alpine lakes that were created by glaciers are so blue that they don't look real. A place that was created by Mother Nature and shaped by Father Time. There's numerous wildlife unique to this area and a wilderness that is vast, so come prepared, there's a lot to explore. As always, leave no trace, leave it better than you found it, and enjoy ๐Ÿ˜‰.

It was awesome. The lake was super pretty and the fishing was pretty good. Nothing too crazy, but you're going to catch something after a while. Beautiful groves of old-growth lodge pole and absolutely amazing birding! A wonderful slice of this beautiful earth!

Wow! Beautiful beyond words. The Salmon return 900 miles to spawn here in the headwaters of the Salmon River.

One of my favorites. So many camping spots and hikes around the area. Truly a breath taking trip. People are very friendly as well. Best part about is that itโ€™s dog friendly. Also lots of hot springs within an hour radius of the forest that you can go to
