Customer Reviews
This was a great rv park! It’s small, clean, adult only, self-check in, and quiet which is something we love! We had full hookups and the sites are mostly all pull through. Deer came through and we fell asleep listening to the Elk bugle at night. The only thing we disliked was having to leave! Sadly the campground closes at the end of September or we would have been back in October! This is definitely one of our favorite campgrounds.
Beautiful RV Park and exceptionally quiet. Dog friendly. WiFi and full hook ups. Enjoy the quiet and watch the wild horses up valley or enjoy the elk in camp in the morning. Lots of the campers here when I went were multiple time returnees and the reasons are obvious once you've stayed. Top place. If I had to try and find a negative... In some spots you may need to work a bit to level your RV but every spot in this campground is a great spot.
We think this place is a model for what a no-frills, peaceful RV retreat should be. The owner has done an excellent job on basic things such as site grading, good gravel fill, meticulous landscaping, easily accessible bear-proof dumpsters and site utilities, and convenient dog waste stations. For those who like campfires, there is free firewood available onsite as well as block-rimmed fire rings at each site. Looks recently remodeled/upgraded. We suspect the owner is an RVer him/herself because of all the attention to detail catering to the specific needs of RVers, and we were grateful for that. Some important things to note: this site is adult-only; there are no public restrooms onsite so you'll need to use your own; and if you have Starlink, your best bet is sites 14 or 15. The other sites are situated against a steep hill, and as a result, satellite service is intermittent there. Also, (lesson learned) keep loose items secured as the wind blows directly down the canyon at times. We would definitely stay here again if we were passing thru the Cloudcroft area.
This park is all it is described in the web page and reviews. If you don't need any of the amenities i.e. laundry, showers, or on-site management, this is the park to stay at. We had Elk or deer most nights. You are less than 15 minutes to Cloudcroft, with the benefits of 7,900 feet elevation.
This small adult only campground is quiet and has full hookups. There are no extra or special facilities but our site 15 had a beautiful view down the valley. Elk came up to graze almost every night.
