Good spot to settle for the weekend while we attended concerts at Alpine Valley. The golf cart and boat rental options are a nice plus. The staff was also super friendly and helpful. Shout out to Tommy for helping with the pontoon!
We had a great week at Scenic Ridge Campground. Caught some 18" largemouths by the boat docks. Kids had fun fishing, hiking the trails and playing on the campground equipment. Highly recommend renting a golf cart as it is a hilly campground between sites and the lake. The kids didn't mind hiking around though. Hope to visit again someday.
Stayed in one of the cabins which was great 👍 All the cooking items we needed were there. The staff was so friendly. The kids caught and released a lot of fish! The swimming was great with the obstacle course. This was our 2nd time here and won't be our last!
Came here for father's day weekend. Rented a golf cart. Weekend was fine. Sites are crammed together next to each other so there is no privacy or nature to enjoy. Great for kids, they have 2 inflated jump pads by the playground for people of all ages to enjoy which was nice. And lots of inflatable swim obstacles for kids to enjoy down by the lake. Golf cart was nice because it is a long walk to the office with many long steep hills. Golf cart was speed restricted for safety. Very little to no parking by the office for trucks and trailers. Park office had a nice selection of things you could buy. Had the "run down trailerpark" feel to it by how cluttered and dirty the trailers and things were scattered all over. We had fun overall but the lack of nature and no privacy was not our cup of tea so we probably won't be back.
Had my friends from Canada come down for some concerts years ago. Everything was OK until they told me I wasn’t allowed back with them even during non-sleeping hours. They wanted me to pay $80 so I could hang out with my friends who drive 16 hours each way to see me and 2 concerts over the weekend. The owners were not only unfriendly but obviously drunk and/or on drugs. They threatened to call the cops on me if I took one step on the road that led to the camping area. They wouldn't even let me go back to help them unpack and settle in. They were extremely rude and cussed out myself and my friends who just don’t lots of $ at their run down “resort”. Not to mention they had really young kids riding around solo on atv’s and golf carts almost running into other campers. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting as well. To this day I’ve kept plenty of possible customers away from this place and I’m glad I have so no one else would ever be treated the way we were that weekend.
