Schoolhouse Canyon Campground is one of those places so amazing that I've been reluctant to tell anyone about it. It's my favorite roadside tent campground for the beauty of its soaring redwoods and the convenience of its own private beach on the Russian River. Of equal importance... the grounds and facilities are immaculate, reflecting the care and hard work of the owners. You won't like Schoolhouse Canyon Campground if you can't/won't follow the noise and group-size regulations. Everyone else will appreciate the peace and relative quiet. (For the quietest experience, select a premium camp site away from River Road.)
Campground is lovely. Quiet. Bathroom is spotless. Chris is a gracious host who clearly values his guests. Nicely laid out for an inner tube float down the river
Very nice campground. No groups over 8 people and no radios allowed. Even has an ADULTS ONLY camp area if you don't want to have noise from kids etc. Absolutely beautifully kept up. They also have 30 acres of nature preserve a Ross the road with river access. Highly recommend for a nature getaway!!!!
Beautiful Campground. Big tree canopy and very decent sized sites. Very clean facility. Its shows that alot of attention and love is put into this campground :) Super convenient location and having access to the Russian River is a + . One of the nicest privately owned campgrounds we have visited in years. We would strongly recommend. (Ps: reservations only on the phone)
What an amazing campsite! Clean, great facilities, friendly, quiet, and an amazing private beach across the road. We’ll definitely be back.
