Seafarer Inn & Suites, Ascend Hotel Collection

Loved the room but they never cleaned it I had to get them to change the sheets. Service was horrible! We were also charge multiple times for our room plus extra charges. And when we tried to dispute it the cops were called. Now we are banned from the hotel because of them charging us over $1500 which is good because we will definitely not be going back!

My children booked a trip for my husband and myself for Valentine's. We checked in smoothly that Friday. My daughter called said the hotel just called said the room was double booked asked my husband to go check what was going on. My husband went they told him it was booked in his name twice 1 with them and 1 booking.com. no big deal my daughter was only charged with booking.com. well we check out Sunday my daughter gets charged a 50 charge my husband also. My daughter called they were very rude saying they kept trying to call my husband and he kept hanging up which is a lie. Told her management would call her Monday. My husband called up there they told him they were getting the law involved cause the room wasn't paid for mind you I have the receipt it was a Christmas gift. My husband then sent screenshots of it coming out of my daughter's account, confirmation, and the last 4 digits on her called after 4 calls in between my husband tried to call to make sure matters were straightforward out they kept hanging up on him. Mind you they threatened to have him locked up and he is in law enforcement. I have stayed here many times and this is not how you do business. All he wanted to know was you got the info and all was good but you couldn't give him that. Very unprofessional no excuses. You charged between my daughter and my husband 100.00, we paid 169.00 cash for 2 small dogs on top of the 352 00 my children paid for the trip. Never again my husband turns 60 next week has high blood pressure and heart problems and y'all suck with your professionalism.

Nice location! Rooms are not bad. Manager said we could not check out late because someone else needed our exact room, even though I have status at the hotel chain. We ended up staying another night and they put us in the same room. I politely mentioned that we were lied to and they responded with an argument and told me I was wrong. I also overheard the manager being very short and rude with one of her young employees. The one-star rating for this hotel is due to management. The front desk employee Jamie was incredibly friendly! Robert at night was also a really nice guy. Some of the maintenance and cleaning staff were lovely to deal with. It seems that the manager goes out of her way to try to make a toxic workplace.

Absolutely love this place! Very spacious. Breakfast wasn't the best, but we ate muffins in the room or walked to the beach house across the street. The beach was like a 3 minute walk. Super close with a very nice crosswalk for the road. We had 5 people. Two adults, two older teen boys, and a 4 year old and we had more than enough room! Tvs were in the bedrooms and in the sitting room, convenient for nighttime unwinding. Shower was great with good water pressure. Really cute courtyard with Cornhole, places to sit, and barbecue. Laundry room came in handy! We didn't use the pool since it was kind of cold during our stay, but it looks very nice and well taken care of. Everyone was so kind! Definitely will be coming back!

Most of the island is beautiful although most of the properties feel like they were built in the 50's, renovated in the 70's and left to collect money ever since. This MOTEL is no different. Moldy smell in rooms, outdated, but overall, manageable.
