Seaview Campground & Cottages

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Seaview and I have to say, it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived it was clear this was more than just an RV park….it’s a resort! The swimming pool took our breath away with its incredible view and the children’s area was a real surprise. The team at Seaview truly sets this place apart! From the moment we checked in the staff made us feel welcomed and made sure every part of our check- in process went smooth and easy. Can’t wait to go back!

The campground was fantastic. I can see that a lot has been done. We especially liked a carpenter there. He was about 6’1/2” tall with gray hair. Very handsome. Hoping to see him next year.

Spent a week at Seaview Campground (end Aug. 2024) as we've done for the past 10 years. Were very disappointed to see that the "fishing" pier had not been installed this season. Was told it was due to damage from winter storms although it looks perfectly fine where it's sitting in the adjacent cove. Believe the new owners are taking the campground in a direction geared more toward the Disney crowd than Downeast Maine. More local restaurants and eateries have closed leaving few choices for meals out. Regrettably won't be returning to Seaview.

Pay no attention to any reviews that are a year older as there are new owners now. The prices have tripled and there are 7 pages of rules you have to sign off on!! This campground has lost its personality! The previous owners were fantastic and extremely accommodating. New owners are invisible and everything is automated online and pricing is ridiculous! This used to be a very busy place but not anymore! I hope the new owners figure it out before it’s too late!

Our group has stayed at this campsite for the last 15 years for every Pirate Festival. We are a bunch of 50's and 60's aged bikers who lead the parade each year. We are there to have fun and support or Eastport community. These caretakers at Seaview could take a lesson from that. Our stay there was pleasant, despite the very long list of rules. They have upgraded the cabins nicely, though, an outside light would be nice to prevent accidental trips and falls. Where I lost respect was when we all rebooked for the following year. The rates went up even more. Or cabin which we had paid about 450 for this year (2 nights) was now going to be 640 (2 nights) for 2025. We opted to rent an RV site instead at 300 (2 nights) as we do own a camper. The price is the price, we accepted that. What I cannot and will not accept is the caretakers punishing a reviewer for their negative feedback. Once the caretakers seen our friends review here and others places they revoked his reservation for next year, giving some claim that they had already booked it and other cabins without knowing. Yet, my friend was the only one who got revoked. He was also the only one who had left reviews. Instead of reaching out to your customers and seeing how you can improve their experience and maybe get them to remove their comment, they took the low road. How you do one thing is how you do all things. We will not be back under this current management. Great job losing 10 couples who booked year after year for thousands of dollars. We all have disposable income we will be happy to give to a local establishment who will respect their customers.

This was my 4th year at Seaview. We camp at Seaview with the greatest group of friends anyone could ask for. We meet at Seaview for the Pirate Fest. Our group of 20 all the average age of 50 plus and all professionals. We start spending money the moment we roll into town. Gas, ice food, etc. We are the group that leads the Pirate fest in Eastport.After the parade We try and hit every restaurant, bar, vendor, shop etc. The old owners of Seaview always welcomed our group with open arms. Sue and Basil were accommodating and always made sure our group could be close and always made room for us the following year. This year , before we were even allowed to check in we were required to sign a 7 plus page of rules. The fast talking lady at the front desk along with her husband were kind but both kept repeating "the owner is very strict and stuffy". Although a big group, we are quiet, respectful and rule following. In fact we would count the time till 10 pm which was quiet time, also our bed times. No problems while we stayed. Cabins were not finished but ok. We kept hoping we could meet the new owner but he never came around. Severe sewer smell between cabin 1and 2. Which we reported. When we checked out again, we were warned how extremely strict the new owner was. We were also told we better book now for the 2025 stay now if we wanted a chance to get our spots that some in the group have had for years. Only 1 person in the group could not get a cabin. Fast forward to the next day. Someone in the group left a review only to be told that the cabin he had already paid in full the day before was no longer available for 2025 Pirate fest. Campers beware of the new owner of Seaview campground. Seems like he's trying to make Seaview something it isn't. Even the new sign screams... This isn't Eastport anymore. Sad
