Amazing campground! Very peaceful and quiet with lots of space between campsites. There are 500+ year old Larch fir trees throughout the campground.
Winter time is a great time to hike around the campground, although keep in mind, having snowshoes may make it easier to get around. There is usually a small area for parking by the closed entry gate, although sometimes on weekends, it can be filled with cars as ice fisherman head out onto the lake.
Grew up on this lake. Times have changed. So.Many.People. who rudely bring pets to the beaches (though it says not to) and they get up in everyone else's space as they are unleashed. Not my favorite. As for the campground there is ample parking for day use, the restrooms are functional again (YAY). One side has a roped off swimming area, the other does not and is more of a rocky beach versus sand.
Most trees in campground have been cut down and are in large brush piles through out the campground. I assume for fire mitigation. Not an ideal camping experience, we left.
After doing one night at a "resort" we packed up and came to Seeley. SO MUCH BETTER!
Great clean roomy and they stock wood at your site very nice.
RV campsite was right on the water just crush on the beach. Family had fun close to Missoula less than an hour had to go in a Missoula everyday for some business. Very easily done.
