The reviews consistently praise the owners' attention to detail and their commitment to creating an exceptional experience. This is a place built by horse lovers, for horse lovers, but its appeal extends to anyone who appreciates cleanliness, comfort, and the tranquility of a natural setting.

The campground’s philosophy seems to be one of holistic well-being, where the well-being of the horses is as important as that of their riders. The thoughtful design, from the extra-large pens to the barefoot-friendly trails, underscores this commitment. Beyond the equine focus, Serenity Hollow offers comfortable lodging options and a welcoming atmosphere for non-riders, making it a versatile choice for families, couples, or solo adventurers. Its newness implies modern facilities and a fresh, well-maintained environment, ensuring a high-quality experience from the moment you arrive.

Location and Accessibility

Serenity Hollow Campground is conveniently located at 26519 Merle Br Ln, Heavener, OK 74937, USA. This address places it squarely within southeastern Oklahoma, a region celebrated for its natural landscapes, including the Kiamichi Mountains and proximity to the Ouachita National Forest. The campground is specifically "nestled near Cedar Lake," a beautiful body of water that enhances the scenic appeal and offers additional recreational opportunities in the vicinity.

For Oklahoma locals, reaching Heavener and then Serenity Hollow is generally straightforward via state highways. The campground's design includes a "graveled roundabout for easy trailer parking, even with big rigs," which is a significant advantage for those transporting horses and large recreational vehicles. Just got back from the Mother’s Day Camp, Ride & Camp weekend at Serenity Hollow, and y’all—it was everything. Whether you’re an experienced rider or just looking for a relaxing getaway with your horse (or even without!), this place is a gem worth supporting. Serenity Hollow is a new, family-run horse campground nestled near Cedar Lake. The trails are private, peaceful, and barefoot-friendly—we clocked in 6–7 miles daily on beautiful, clearly marked paths that even my 18hh draft handled with ease (and yes, you read that right…barefoot friendly!!) The hosts have thought of everything: • Secure, well-managed and extra large pens for your horses • Clean, cozy cabins with AC, and comfy beds. Plus hot water in the bunkhouse washroom. • Plenty of mounting blocks, hitching posts, and a good size round pen • A graveled roundabout for easy trailer parking, even with big rigs • The option for guided rides or the freedom to explore solo • Dog-friendly and super welcoming to guests of all experience levels One thing that stood out: one of the owners is a certified vet tech and horse trainer, which gave me total peace of mind. Her coaching and advice helped me feel more connected to my horse than ever. I even learned how to make rhythm beads and French braid my draft’s mane! This weekend was full of laughter, learning, and bonding—with people and our horses. Serenity Hollow may be new, but they’re doing it right, and I truly hope to see their community grow. If you’re looking for a place to unwind, ride, and reconnect, give them a visit. You won’t regret it. #SupportSmallBusiness #SerenityHollow #HorseCamping #MothersDayRide #TrailHorseLife #BarefootFriendly #HorseGirlsWeekend #CedarLakeRides #EquineAdventures #OklahomaHorseCamping

No detail has been overlooked at this equestrian resort and campground. They back onto national Forest with access to unlimited trails with no vehicles allowed. In fact we didnt even see another human being on the trails in thick pine forest suitable for barefoot horses. They have trailer hook ups and primitive camping as well as four amazing cabins equipped with microwave air conditioner. The beds were super comfortable and cabin was very clean. There is a shower and bathroom set up with hot water in a separate building. The horse pens are huge compared to other places we’ve been to and are set up beside each cabin so you don’t have to go far to check on your horses. Plenty of trailer parking if needed and my favorite….a pull around driveway. The owners are amazing (women owned and run). Talk about going above and beyond five star service they guided us on trail rides and even let me borrow a horse when my horse was being naughty. We were lucky enough to go to a Mother’s Day event and we did some arts and crafts, making rhythm beads, and the owners catered breakfast, lunch and dinner. Can’t say enough nice things if you’re ever in the area or looking for a nice ride you should check them out!

A great spot to camp/glamp with your ponies! Cabins are cute and clean. The property is beautiful. The trails are barefoot friendly, but I would recommend boots or shoes for the journey to the trails. The best part about this place are the hosts! They are so accommodating and kind.

The camp was clean and well maintained. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Fantastic shower house and cooking area. The cabins are cozy and nice. The horse pens are 10 x20. The camp has access to the Ouachita National Forest where there were trails that were marked and maintained. The trails that I rode were not rocky. It was very peaceful there. Go visit!
