Bay Camp Loop is one of the distinct camping loops within the expansive Seven Points Campground, which is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and serves as a primary recreational hub for Raystown Lake. What sets Bay Camp apart, as highlighted by glowing reviews, is its unique atmosphere. Visitors describe it as "one of the nicest campsites on the property," noting that "it just seems more cozy and the wooded area that surrounds it really sets it off." This dense tree cover provides ample shade, privacy, and a more intimate camping experience compared to some of the more open loops. It's a place where you can truly feel immersed in nature while still being part of a vibrant campground community. Although it doesn't offer direct water hookups at individual sites, its proximity to essential amenities and the overall "great place" vibe, complete with a "kid friendly with a playground" environment, makes it a favored choice. Even during busy times like Labor Day weekend, it maintains its appeal, proving its resilience as a truly enjoyable spot for "awesome" camping experiences.

While not the absolute closest to the Marina (Senoia Camp holds that distinction), it's "fairly close to the Marina, swimming area, restaurant and concession stand, as well as the Visitor's Center." What truly enhances its accessibility to these amenities is the "awesome woodchip mulch padded trail" that connects Bay Camp to these key areas. This unique trail allows for easy and pleasant walking or biking, making it incredibly convenient to access the lake and services without needing to drive. This combination of a secluded, wooded setting with convenient access via a scenic trail makes Bay Camp an exceptionally well-located choice for locals.

Great place. Kid friendly with a playground. Not a very busy road at Bay Camp. Kids biking up and down the street. Plenty of room for a 6 person camper and a 10 person tent. Electric hookups but no water so arrive with the camper full. Pet friendly too! Stayed for 3 nights and it was awesome. Even though it was somewhat busy because of Labor Day weekend coming. Definitely recommend.
We spent a weekend @ Bay's campground in Raystown. Its a smaller campground which was perfect, with alittle more peace and quiet. This was our first experience there and we were very impressed with our tent campsite, it was a corner site so we definitely had more privacy beside and behind us. Actually had some deer pass by very close at day break! Site was very well maintained, the dirt/sand pad was very convenient for setting up our tent! Park rangers were very friendly. Lake is gorgeous and very peaceful in the morning! Beautiful place overall!
Beautiful, quiet, and well maintained. However, the people in the campground, stores, and check in are very unfriendly. We are full time rver's. Good internet location for those of us who are still working and not vacationing, but then again a friendly face and a smile go a long way with me.
Great spot for camping. The sites are well maintained and spread out enough that you aren't on top of other campers. The lake is clean and good for swimming. There are also plenty of walking and biking trails, including a dirt track for biking.
