Customer Reviews
This campground is great! We camped, hiked, and enjoyed the fantastic views. The bathrooms were well maintained and clean. There is a volleyball court. Frisbee golf is also available. I hope to visit this campground again.
We were really impressed with the quality of the camp ground. The sites are nice and the bathroom/shower facilities are well-maintained. I will echo what I few people have mentioned: it seems to lean toward RVs, not tents. We happened to have a site on the end so we had more grass space than most sites. There's plenty of space for a tent but it would need to be placed in the gravel. Each site has it's own picnic table and fire ring with cooking rack. Each loop has it's own bathroom facility but not every loop has it's own showers. The park does have rangers that drive around regularly and rules are enforced. The campground has numerous playgrounds, trails, bike paths and disc golf courses. The beach and recreational area around the lake is also beautiful and well-maintained. We were really happy with our experience here. Beautiful place.
My husband and I tent camped here and it was ABSOLUTELY gorgeous. While it does seem to lean heavily towards RV camping, we picked a perfect site for a tent with a beautiful lake view. The campground itself was well maintained, very clean and pristine. The beach area was very big and very nice, the walking trail they have all around the campground was pressed rubber mulch-it was extremy nice to walk on after hiking the real trails for hours and provided some beautiful views. I would highly recommend young and old visit this place!
I had never been to Raystown Lake, and booked a trip on a whim to do some hiking. I was at Senoia site 181. I was pleasantly surprised with the site, view, and bathroom. I probably would not like it as much later in the season with the area being much busier. That said, I liked it enough to book a different site for next weekend!
Great campground! We go every year! It's awesome that they allow alcohol, just no glass containers. The facilities are clean and very well maintained. There is a Beach & swimming area as well as several day use areas. There are many local attractions as well, including an auto museum, several caves, and DelGrosso Park, to name a few.
