Customer Reviews
Lovely wooded trail with some fairly steep parts with steps, can be moist, very well planned loop trails. Some intersections can be tricky, so have your map ready. Overall very enjoyable for 3 mi run or walk.
One of my favorite parts of living in this area is the easy access to this park. Just a quick 6-8 minute drive from the ocean in Asbury, it feels like a whole other world and offers the perfect reprieve. Whether you want to go on a little hike by yourself or take the dog on a walk, this park is so much fun and feels safe and is super clean.
Went for a little walk in the woods with my wife and my pooch. Parked in the capacious parking lot. There was a nice children's playground there. Strolled over to a pond that was nice but choked with algae. Wandered over to the Bridge Loop trail. The hike was an easy walk in the woods. Mostly dirt or small stones. A well marked easy walk in sneakers but not handicapped-accessible. Roughly one mile loop. There were a couple of places with a 20 foot or so elevation gain, but it was otherwise flat. Nice wooded area with streams. It's near the Garden State Parkway, so there's road noise. Upon pulling out of few parking lot to go home, I noticed a sign directing you to cross the street for the hiking trails... so I guess I'll have to return to check those out. Here are some photos of the Bridge Loop.
One of my favorite local parks & hiking area. I love it because there’s so many different trails. You’ll never get bored. The trails can be muddy but easy to follow and is well marked. there’s creeks there’s a lake, bathrooms, picnic tables, a playground. I love to take my dog here we both enjoy it, there’s so much open land and great scenery. There’s many bridges to cross and wooden steps that can challenge your hike. My favorite part is not having to drive so far away to get a good incline and great scenery.
Definitely a great place to enjoy the outdoors. Plenty of parking. The hiking trails are all located on the other side of the street from the main parking lot. All the trails do intersect. We hiked the Hidden Creek trail estimated to be 2 miles long. I didn't find the trail very difficult. It was a nice leisure stroll and very beautiful on a warm fall day with the leaves changing color. I was surprised to see so many changes in the terrain from pine trees, to sand, to rocks, and raised planks. Definitely very enjoyable. However, some trail markers were hard to read.
