What a beautiful place for an adventure! So ,many things to see. Tons of Lakes both big and small. Some are hidden some are not. Breathtaking hikes that lead to even more wonderful destinations. I have only begun to explore this forest. I can't wait to find more hidden gems!
AMAZING!!!! If you are in to outdoor adventures, then this needs to be on your check list. With over 50 lake nestled in the Trinity Alps, you are guaranteed to find amazing views. With elevations up to 9000 feet, the granite peaks have been compared to the Swiss Alps. The trail system is maintained, with skill levels from easy to advanced. Excellent fishing at many of the lakes, and just about every type of wildlife to be seen. If you look closely, you can find everything from wild alpine strawberries, asparagus, green onions, raspberries, blackberries and a lot more. There are many historical sites throughout the mountains, including abandoned gold mines that were deserted after the gold rush. Come see what the Trinity Alps has to offer, you won't be disappointed, and don't forget to pack plenty of water and bring your sunscreen. Happy trails.
A beautiful part of the country! Amazing views along the way. We did a relatively easy hike.... Make sure you have your back country permit with you to camp out.... Also make sure you are prepared to take care of mother nature in a leave no trace sort of way. Remember to make sure we all take care of things and leave them for future generations!
