This was a great campground. The location is easy to get to and right off a main road. The campgrounds were spotless! The site had a garbage can and recycle bin. I barely turned around and my garbage was gone. The laundry room is so clean and even though there is only 1 washer and dryer, you get the key to the room so you don't have to fight to get to get it done. Pay for the amount of loads you do and give the key back when finished. The showers were also spotless! The staff was friendly and helpful. The bonus of having a small swimming hole near by also adds to the appeal. We would definitely stay there again!
A perfect little camp ground. Clean... quiet.....lots like lots for kids to do.... laundromat available for a very reasonable fee....owner on site if any issues. Just a short drive in from the TCH. If you are looking for a great place to stop for a night or two or longer it is perfect.
Worst tent campsite I have ever been in. IF YOU ARE TENTING, DO NOT GO HERE. I asked for a tent site and was completely misled, as I was the only tent in the entire campground. I usually stay at the tent sites in RV parks. However, this campground should clearly be marked as for children and families with RVs ONLY. I was placed in the middle of the RV sites as there are no tent sites. There were no quiet hours with children and other campers active until 3 am, and with a large playground for kids. There were even several people in costume for children’s entertainment. There were children who were peering through my windows and playing inside my site multiple times. If you are in a RV and looking for a family friendly campground this is a five star campground. If you are tenting, DO NOT GO HERE despite what the owners say.
The owner is one of the most caring person I know and the staff was great.our car broke down they picked us up.Toni gave us a tour of Botwood,on a busy weekend accommodated our trailer.the swimming was beautiful.We tell everyone that visits Nfld go to Botwood for wonderful people, excellent RV park,and lots of Canadian history. One place we will never forget.Thanks Toni and staff
Absolutely beautiful park. Sites are maintained well, staff are friendly, facilities are clean. The swimming hole is a great place to cool off on hot days! The absolute highlight of our trip was the horse, Sunny! We will definitely be returning!
