An absolutely beautiful place! Great efforts by the people that frequently walk here to clean up debris after Helene and Milton. Large items have been placed in piles on the beach and will need assistance from the county to remove. Mostly all of the micro trash has been cleaned up from locals with repeated walks with buckets and trash sacks. Great response from the community!!!
What is so clear, beach is clean, and a breeze to anchor the boat to just hang out. Definitely recommend visiting.
Shell Key is a great place to visit. It's one of the more quiet areas, where you can anchor and go hunting for shells or a nice barefoot walk. Beware that as the tide goes down, your boat better be anchored tight! The closer you are to the Gulf, the stronger the tide. Overall this is a great spot to bring family and friends to let them enjoy a piece of untouched natural sugar sand beach where they can hunt for souvenirs. Don't forget to leave nothing but your footprints on this preserve!
Jenna was a wonderful guide! I was super nervous but her explanation of all the mangroves and underwater grass and pelicans was amazing. Put me at ease. The best part was the beach. An amazing view!
Very impressive and interesting kayak tour with very kind guide Chris who told us a lot about the flora and fauna we could see there. Found a lot of beautiful shells (also a sand dollar!) and saw a lot of different animals. Absolutely recommend it!
