We love camping on the island while here. Great fishing!! Has several different kinds of fish to catch. The restrooms are like real out houses
Good place for camping. Although a little close to the highway so you don't get a very quiet environment. Also assumed it would be a free spot because it's the National Forest, however it has a $10 fee. Campsite #3 is a walk in surrounded by water, very cool spot.
This looks to be a great camping spot on a nice small lake with a boat launch and plenty of forest to explore.
Peaceful NFS campground well off main road down a forest road (5450). Can hear M37 slightly at times but not really disturbing. 7 sites, 2 are walk-in tent sites. All are rustic sites. Pit toilets available. $10 per night. Sites are mostly spread out, 2 are together. Small lake for kayaking and recreational fishing - about 15 feet deep.
The island group last weekend had an all out party! You'd think it'd be kids. Their were little kids! As the adults started the party at 10 pm ( start of quiet time)! And the terrible music and screaming over the music went on till about 2:45 am! My son asked if we could leave around 1;(. Dont come here at all!!! A shame, it's beautiful;(
