Customer Reviews
The cabins are fine but make sure you don't lock yourself out. There are no call boxes near the cabins and the walk to get help is LONG. Without our phones and car keys, we were stranded. It 's very dark out there with a thick cover of leaves. Bring a head lamp/flashlight!!
Coming up to this place was nice but once we checked in our room was a cracker box! No room for luggage no chair hardly any lights, just 2 lamps so your "area" for coffee/refrigerator is all dark. No area in the bathroom for toiletries. Very cramped. The restaurant on site is closed on Monday?? They have a general store/deli, ridiculous prices. Outdoor fireplace and fire pit was out of order....I could go on and on .... obviously not satisfied 😕
Shenandoah Woods Traveler RV Park offers a clean and well-maintained environment with a range of amenities that cater to RV travelers. The bathrooms are consistently nice, and the availability of free laundry is a notable perk. The WiFi service is reliable, which is a big plus for remote workers or those needing to stay connected. However, there are a few areas where the park could improve. The gravel spots, particularly for larger trailers, are quite challenging to maneuver, and we were advised to pay double for a more accessible spot on our next visit. Additionally, while the park offers many amenities, we found the push to attend a two-hour timeshare presentation in exchange for a $150 gift card to be a bit aggressive. Lastly, there were issues with speeding within the campground, and an unpleasant encounter where someone flipped off my wife, which detracted from the overall experience. In summary, while Shenandoah Woods Traveler has a lot of potential and provides essential services well, attention to guest experience and safety could enhance future stays.
We got to stay in I'vte of the yurts and had a great peaceful relaxing time. Very comfortable and clean.
This campground is very impressive, in size and amenities. The barrel rides and pony rides for children were a plus, there is also an arcade in the lodge which helped entertain our kids in the chilly weather. We were a little bummed to see the playground no longer exists, but there is plenty to do in the area to make up for that. Shenandoah NP is only 45 minutes away, and Luray Caverns only an hour. We definitely recommend stopping by the Gordonsville Ice House while visiting, we got a discount through the resort which was another plus! My family really enjoyed our 2 week stay and would definitely visit this resort again.
