We had a great time at Shenandoah Valley Campground! The location by the river was perfect, and we loved being able to enjoy the water so easily. Tubing was one of the highlights of our trip – it was so much fun, and the rental fee of just $10 was very reasonable. Another bonus was the affordable firewood, which made our campfires even more enjoyable. If you’re planning to visit, we highly recommend the non-hookup sites right by the river. They offer beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere – definitely the best spots in the campground! Overall, we had a wonderful experience and will definitely be coming back again. This is a great place to unwind and enjoy nature. Highly recommended!
I am normally very generous with my reviews, easy to please. This campground could be so much better. The mini golf is in bad shape, no corn hole boards set up, you're set up right on top of your neighbors. I had a good time and the grounds and views are beautiful but with a little extra work the campground could be so much better!
DISAPPOINTED! Our recent stay was disappointing from start to finish. The camp site was nothing but dirt! No gravel, no grass, just dirt! So glad it didn’t rain! Bath house is filthy all the time, I believe due to the adults who come to drink and not watch their children i. e. children are making a mess, not flushing the toilet leaving toilet paper all over (not blaming the kids, this falls on the parents). There is noise all night from barking dogs and people partying. Not a pleasant experience. Management and security are a joke and are unreasonable! My advice is to look elsewhere. The photos on the website are not a true picture of what you will encounter.
This will be our new campground. We regularly camp with our three kids 6,6, and 8 (yes we have twins). Our kids had grown out of the other places we've been going, this one had enough space and activities!! The best part is the river with the waterfall at the end of the campground!!! Update we were there this last weekend and it was great again!!
Perfect area for campground, easy in and out for big rigs, nice pull through sites. Nice pool and hot tubs. Staff super friendly. Giving a 4 because they need to do a lot of maintaince work. I think they are short staffed. Bathrooms by pool not clean. The plug in on our site was all loose so hard to plug in. Wifi doesn't work even if up next to building. Only stayed one night would stay again if in area.
