Customer Feedback: "We stayed here over 4th of July. Camp spot #5 is one of the best. It’s right next to the river and neighbors not too close. The campground is just off the highway, but when you are close to the river it drowns out the sounds of the cars going by. But I think the spots near the highway would be terrible for lights and car noise. We reserved online 3 months in advance." Another visitor shared, "An awesome hike to a waterfall is a few hundred yards from the campground and you don’t have to worry about finding a parking spot. The hike itself is a few miles round trip. If you can get a spot next to the river it is amazing. Great campground overall but a little close to the highway so book early to get near the river. Clean, good hosts and located close to great trails. Great waterfall hike nearby."

We loved Sherwood! The bathrooms are about as good as they are going to get for a rustic campground (very clean & hand sanitizer). We stayed at campsite 5 and it is was perfect! Right on the river & we almost had a small little beachy area where we could put our feet in the water when it was hot.
The campground is just by the road so at night the sound is very loud. There is no water in the ground. So if anyone is planning don't forget to take water. Otherwise it is in river bank and peaceful.
Don't choose campsite #14. The parking spot for our small motorhome is literally 5 ft from the public vault toilet. Picnic table area was super close to the highway. Absolutely no privacy. Took one look and drove home.
Enjoyed my stay but be ready for Semi’s barreling down the road in the early morning. Soooo loud I was startled wake multiple times by the roar!
