I wish I could give this a 4.5 star, but I think it's closer to a 5 than a 4. So 5 star it is. I tent camped here on a lakeside site. It was absolutely beautiful. Tent site location was perfect, secluded from other tent site, and had amenities you'd expect (nice metal table and fire pit). Tent pads are large, plenty of space. Tent sites are will spread out, you rarely hear or see neighbors. The only small complaint I could make is the shower facility closest to our site was not the greatest. We drove to other bathroom/showers and they were in better shape. Far from the worst shower facilities I've seen/used, but could have been better. Be sure to bring Crocs/flip flops for the showers. I would definitely come back here and would recommend for tent camping!
Beautiful campground. The spaces are roomy. You do not feel like you are squeezed in next to your neighbor. Our spot faces the lake and is lovely. There is no sewer at any of the sites but there is a dump station.
Other than quote a few dead trees that need to be taken down for safety concerns, this spot was beautiful. Pretty quiet. Nice across from where we were to beach area and bathrooms. Not sure why the playground was taken down but that was a busy for the kids who were looking forward to the playground while we were there.
We have stayed at Shoal Creek Campground several times over the past six years and have thoroughly enjoyed each visit. One of our favorite aspects of this campground is the staff, who we believe are essential to a great vacation experience. During our recent two-week stay, we interacted with each staff member and were impressed by their courteous behavior, knowledge of the area, and outstanding customer service. Shoal Creek is one of the most beautiful campgrounds around Lake Lanier. The sites are spacious and not crowded together like those at other RV campgrounds. The park offers a boat ramp with ample parking, clean bathrooms, beaches, a small store, and hiking trails. Overall, Shoal Creek Campground provides a wonderful camping experience.
Come on Margaritaville, $50 a night plus tax. Great location. Bathrooms are filthy. Bugs everywhere including stalls. Campsite grill rusted out. Sites need renovation. Margaritaville can do better.🤦🏻♂️
