I have been at Shope park about 3yrs . For the most part it is a quiet friendly place. The rules are minimal and fair. There are no amenities, but it's reasonably priced living option . The Mangers,Tim and Wendy are good people, caring, kind, generous. The owner comes by regularly, he's also good people
My Dad resided here for 3yrs. I will say Tim the landlord was very nice and patient throughout those years as my Dad could never seem to obey the dog policy. I have absolutely no issues with him! The reason I gave only 3 stars is due to these reasons: 1. He had to share a mailbox & a meterbox (which I was informed is illegal, so I hope they fix that). So there was multiple occasions where he was charged electric over charges & no honest clue who’s was who’s. 2. The landlord is friends with some of the tenants which is fine, but them sitting outside to stalk/spy on people is not okay. When I would come over, they would sit outside & just stare the entire. Not just out there to enjoy the nature. The day we were moving my Dad out, those tenants and the landlords wife sat outside starring and just laughing like it was a party. VERY unprofessional! 3.I find it very inappropriate that the face of that place is going around sharing stories to tenants about her marriage and the things that her husband is doing. Like I said, I never had a problem with Tim but his wife on the other hand is not giving that place a good image. Other than that no issues. Rent goes up about $100 every year just fyi. That’s our experience!
This is not a camp ground, this is a park for full timers. This is not a place to camp. I lived here for almost two years. I was in the front part not the back part if you get a B lot it might not have been as bad, but I was down in front where the lots are on hills. The ground when it rained washed away and I was petrified of the ground washing out from under the camper. There were also septic problems that were never fixed after many attempts raw sewage still flowed from the ground. Management is garbage, mark titshaw and well as the property manager Tim. When we brought problems to their attention they basically told us we didn’t know anything. We would unplug our electric and it still ran up. Claimed they asked GA power to come out but I never saw them or heard anything about it. Charged us over $500 and as well as others for a camper to run electric for a month. When people with 1,600 sqft homes never had to pay anything close to that makes no sense. Not to mention the last month I was there my exhaust was cut in an attempt to steal my catalytic converter. And if that wasn’t enough a week later my tire was slashed. It’s just not a safe area. As we were leaving someone else was arriving and they were utterly shocked at the park. And said “this is a dope place” which is very accurate statement. I don’t even recommend you live here full time it is not worth the $700 a month or what ever it might be now. Also honest reviews seem to get snarky comments from the owner, so I’ll be interested to see what snarky comments mark will come up with about this. Because I left so many things out of this review that were just awful about this place, like straight up discrimination against my disability, and the fact I’m dying.
Been here 4+ years for the most part quiet and peaceful. Neighbors are nice and unobtrusive and really no problems to speak of. I would give it 5 stars except for the road too many potholes. Most of the residents seem to be longer term at least the ones closest to us. All in all if anyone asked I would be fine telling them to locate here even if they have small children. No wild parties, seems quiet and safe
Well…. It started off ok, but soon we realized that the manager lets his friends run rough shod around here. Yelling racial slurs, cursing. One guy talks about how he has shot people before. Lots of nice people here too, but some true trash too. Definitely not a place for children.
