One of the nicest military campgrounds we’ve been too. Our site was very spacious (site 3) and level. There is a very nice beach area within walking distance along with a pool. There are a few cabins too in the park along with a bathhouse. We saw an abundance of wildlife including bald eagles and coyotes.
Update 6/28/24 After staying at a few military campgrounds, I can say Aberdeen is the best! Hands down! Super clean sites, full hookups and amazing bath facilities. This base needs to be recognized for the great efforts they put into the camp ground! It’s now our favorite spot!! Great campground! One of the cleanest campgrounds we’ve been to. The bathhouses are individual rooms with nice cedar walls and extremely clean. The concrete pad sites are large and the utility pedestal is top notch. 1 min walk to the inlet with a niece beach. Plenty of room to get setup and nice grass lots attached. This is our new go to site! The swimming pool is walking distance and it’s 10 bucks per day. APG/MWR facilities knows how to run a campground!
Very clean and quiet! Camped here over the weekend 31 May - 2 June and absolutely loved the peacefulness. So quiet. We had a newborn fawn and momma doe visit along with lots of quiet..... you're getting the theme
We stayed for a long wked. The campground is very clean, and the sites are pretty much level and spacious. The people think it's a normal road driving the speed limit, even pulling campers they don't obey they speed limit. Very limited on kids in the campground Thank goodness for pool was diffently a plus our kids spent 2 days there. I'm thinking we will come back for sure.
Love coming to Shore park area. Its beautiful and peaceful there. Enjoy not only the park area but sitting down by the water year round. Only issue I would like to see changed is replace regular size portable potty unit with a larger handicap portable potty. Due to injuries from a auto accident in 2013 I still have physical issues that make using a non handicap outdoor bathroom difficult.
