A basic campground with 30A electric, water hookup and waste dump facilities, but no toilets or showers, making the $60 per night rather steep. It's also near a level crossing, so the trains are blowing their hooters throughout the night. There is no on-site office, so you have to call Brian, who manages the site. When he turns up, make sure you negotiate a realistic price. We only stayed one night and managed to sleep OK, because we had ear plugs to block out the train noise.
Date of Stay: Jul 2024 We camped here for 5 nights and really enjoyed it, and will be happy to return. It was literally across a quiet street from a great grocery store and was easy walking distance to almost everything in town, including a coffee shop, 24 hr water jug filling station, a small but stocked general store, and a few restaurants, food trucks and ice cream places. The main boat launch, marinas and rentals were just down the road, far enough to be away from the noise and bustle but close enough to drive there in 2 minutes. So awesome! We enjoyed having reliable wifi, water and power hookups (30 amp), and our site also had sewer hookup which would be awesome for any RV'ers with a bathroom in their unit. Our extra small truck camper doesn't have one, so it would be nice if the campground had bathroom facilities, but the grocery store across the street had one and between that and our boondocking bathroom setup we were totally fine. RV'S with bathrooms of course wouldn't even blink an eye. Brian runs the place and strikes a rarely found and very wonderful balance of being easy to get ahold of and genuinely attentive without being intrusive. He was so friendly, kindhearted and non-judgmental toward us and our dog, and had a great sense of humour to boot. We felt like we were talking to an old friend each time we saw him. :) We felt very safe and never had any issues leaving our stuff out even when we went boating and fishing on the lake for hours per day. We were also blessed by a short but sweet hour-long outdoor church service across the way from our site at the church next door on Sunday morning. The music and message were soul-feeding. Additionally, we enjoyed the fact that this is a relatively small campground and not super packed. It was quiet and we had no problem being able to get a good sleep at night. There is a train that can be heard but it didn't bother us at all and it only came thru a couple times a day, and it is across town from the campground. There was also a great area at the back of the campground to keep our boat and trailer with lots of space to maneuver and park. Garbage was an easy trot across the adjacent lot and Brian was sure to give us the keys to the bin's padlock when we first arrived. Overall we are very satisfied and very happy with our experience and will very likely return if we come back to Sicamous for camping. 100% recommend! We camped at Sicamous RV Campground in a Truck Camper. Moose Mulligan's was delish and Askew's grocery store had just about everything we needed, including block and cubed ice. 24 hr water jug filling station beside the Anvil Coffee shop was great water for a very reasonable price. Campground is very, very easy to find and Sicamous is quite walkable.
